Beloit Landmarks Commission... not quite

The Beloit Landmarks Commission is currently petitioning for restoration of the number of commissioners serving on the commission to be returned to eleven as it once was from the current nine. Only recently due to some outreach recruitment efforts have we been able to gain two more applications to fill the remaining vacancies on our current nine member roster. I believe though there are more folks caring enough to participate on this revived commission. We could use your help.

While all are invited to submit an application for joining our merry band we’re particularly interested in gaining more representation from the Bluff Street neighborhood. If you live in the Bluff Street Historic District or know of someone who does we’d appreciate your passing the word.

As we’re looking for a good cross section of talents and viewpoints in addition to the above we’re looking for:

  • College Park or Merrill Street Historic District Resident
  • Architect or building construction professional
  • Attorney

If interested your welcome to contact Drew Pennington – Community Planner 608-364-6711, Marge F. – Commissioner or myself – Commissioner.
